This beautifully renovated apartment sits within the heart of the estate on the historic Tay valley demesne, and introduces unique opportunities for exploring the beaches and headlands of Ireland’s Copper Coast, the Waterford/Dungarvan Greenway, hill-walking in the ‘Comeragh Mountains, enjoying three golf course situated in the Dungarvan area, or just rambling around a magnificent estate.

A beautiful, bright and airy kitchen and dining area is at the heart of The Hayloft. With every modern appliance available this is the perfect space for enjoying relaxing meals with family and friends. Leading off the kitchen is the colourful sitting room which has a range of comfortable sofas and chairs, an open fireplace and a huge 75 inch flat screen TV. The Hayloft has three double bedrooms and one twin room – all ensuite. A second snug with a sofa and TV makes the Hayloft a comfortable, spacious property for a family getaway.

The Hayloft is situated within the farm court yard opposite a museum of the historic Woodhouse Estate ranging for 340 acres west from Stradbally Village. The property is bisected by the meandering river Tay, which swirls through the lower part of the estate and escapes under the road bridge for a final dash to the Atlantic. 156 acres of woodland comprising more than 150,000 trees – some dating back to the mid 18^th century – await exploration either on foot or on cycle tracks.

Stradbally Cove with it sheltered sandy beach is across the road from the Gate Lodge entrance to the estate.

The owners occupy the eponymous Georgian mansion at the center of this private estate, but visitors are free to enjoy the walled garden, impeccably reproduced Victorian glasshouse and paddocks of grazing red deer.

Pricing options

During the peak months of July and August, bookings are available on a weekly basis only, allowing guests to enjoy an extended stay during the prime summer period. For the rest of the year, the properties can be rented for a minimum of three nights, providing a perfect opportunity for shorter getaways or weekend retreats.
