Stradbally House

This former Garda Barracks dating back to the 18th century takes pride of place in the sleepy, picturesque village of Stradbally.  Stradbally House overlooks the village green, is located a stone’s throw from two pubs and a grocery shop. Add to this a 5 minute walk downhill to a sandy Cove for swimming and exploring rockpools and caves and you may just have the perfect location for a quiet, coastal family holiday. 

Open plan living

The accommodation is spread over the first and second floor
of this property as the ground floor is currently not available.
The open plan layout of the first floor of Stradbally House
is bright and spacious. A fully equipped kitchen based
around a huge island is the perfect place to cook and
chat with family and friends. A floor to ceiling window
overlooks the newly renovated large back garden and
patio area. The kichen also features a dining table and
chairs and a smaller window overlooking the village green.

A utility/laundry room and WC are also located on the first floor. Across the hall an inviting and comfortable living room has an open hearth fire for cooler evenings and another window overlooking the village green.

Bedrooms

There are two double bedrooms on the top floor with low original
sash windows overlooking the village green. Each room has been
tastefully decorated and are the perfect space to relax and unwind
after a day exploring the many delights on the doorstep.
The third bedroom which is a twin room is also on the top floor at
the back of the house along with a large family bathroom with a
walk in shower and free standing tub.

Downstairs Apartments

These apartments are designed to cater to both privacy and functionality, making them an excellent choice for groups seeking a private comfortable living space. Each unit features a double bedroom that offers ample room for rest and relaxation, ensuring a peaceful retreat. The kitchenette provides the convenience of preparing meals independently, eliminating the need for a shared kitchen and enhancing the cooking experience. A cozy seating area, complete with a television, is perfect for entertainment and leisure, allowing residents to unwind and enjoy their downtime.

Additionally, these apartments are well-suited for groups, as they offer separate private areas, ensuring that everyone has their own space while still enjoying the benefits of a shared living environment.

Private sunny garden

The split level back garden is sunny and secluded. On the lower level there’s a build in brick barbeque and a table and chairs for al fresco dining. On the upper level there is a long grassy narrow garden.
Guests are welcome to visit the grounds, garden and tennis court of the nearby Woodhouse Estate.

Smoking – No, sorry! 
Parties – The owners regret Stag, Hen or 21st parties are not admissible. 

Accessibility restrictions – The property is not suitable for guests with mobility issues
Pets – Well behaved pets welcome.

Pricing Options

During the peak months of July and August, bookings are available on a weekly basis only, allowing guests to enjoy an extended stay during the prime summer period. For the rest of the year, the properties can be rented for a minimum of three nights, providing a perfect opportunity for shorter getaways or weekend retreats.
